Does Worrying Help Us?

Last week, I had the first call with my publicist assigned to the release of my book, Let Forgiveness Set You Free.

It was very exciting!

A lot of what I do is on my own – there’s no team, just me. So it’s nice to have the support of a seasoned publicist. Keep in mind my book is still small potatoes for them, she’s not booking me on Good Morning America. (more…)

What is the #1 thing we all worry about?

A few years back my gardener came to my door, it was not his usual day or time – I was very surprised to see him.  The reason for his visit, he eventually got around to, was that he was having some financial difficulty.  He very apologetically asked if I could pay him in advance.  Of course, I paid him and then had a guilty thought, “am I paying him enough?”

As I drove to work that morning, I was thinking about his financial situation and how he might improve it and then it got me thinking about my finances.  I’m not living paycheck to paycheck but do I have enough? I spent a few moments worrying.

Has Meditation Made Me Happier?

There’s been a lot of talk over Dan Harris’ book “10% Happier” – and often I am asked has meditation made me happier?

The answer to that is yes, it’s absolutely made me happier.  I would estimate I’m at least 75% happier since I started meditating – maybe more; but not the way you expect.

I’m not happier in a giddy, excited – life is one great big party kind of way.  And quite frankly I’m glad for that – that can get annoying after a while.
