Private Sessions
Meeting you where you are in your practice
Exploring the mind can be very difficult on your own; there are numerous pitfalls and traps that too many meditators succumb to. Having an experienced teacher to guide you can keep you on track, identify blindspots more quickly, and challenge you to go deeper than you might go on your own.

Guidance
Helping you to establish a daily meditation practice and provide you with tips and techniques to improve your meditation skills.

Feedback
Helping to identify areas where you might be struggling and provide you with feedback on how to improve your practice.

Personalization
Working together to identify your goals and help you develop a practice that is tailored to your specific needs and preferences.

Accountability
Knowing that you have someone to report back to can motivate you to make meditation a regular part of your daily routine.

How Does it Work?
If you are in La Ventana, Mexico we can meet in person, in my home. If you are not in the area, we meet over Zoom.
Typically a session is one hour long.
I do not come to our sessions with any agenda. It is all based on where you are and where you want to go.
This could be a challenge – beginning your meditation practice, integrating your practice into daily life and your relationships, or how to go deeper in your practice to see the nature of non-duality.
While some sessions seem a bit like therapy, the difference is that I’m not a *therapist, and that we are applying Buddhist wisdom and compassion as your guide.
For whatever challenge you are having, there is a wisdom or compassion teaching that can help you become unstuck by seeing things more clearly, as they really are.
As you gain a greater understanding of the world and yourself through the lens of wisdom and compassion, you naturally begin to let go of old patterns and habits that weren’t serving you any longer. And in there place new ways of seeing the world that trust the ego less and the peace of the present moment more.
Everything we are doing rests on a foundation of wisdom and compassion.
This is a path of insight – I am here to guide you on your path but you are the one walking it.

*Sometimes those dealing with trauma and/or deep seated emotional issues come to spirituality as a way to bypass dealing with their issues. This is not advised and even has a name, “Spiritual Bypassing.” These types of issues should always be worked through with a qualified therapist. While I do consult privately with people that are working with a therapist, you are also welcome to join my free weekly dharma talks (Sunday Sangha), as you continue working with a therapist.
