Why You’re Probably Not Breathing Correctly

In the Netflix series, Stranger Things, there’s a scene where a couple of kids are whispering to each other and giggling as they point to another kid and say, “Look, he’s a mouth breather.” 

What they are insinuating is that the other kid – the mouth breather – is stupid, dumb – a knuckle dragger.  This is also how Hollywood always portrays dumb characters, with their jaws slack and mouths hanging open. And there may be some truth to it.

How to Turn Performance Anxiety into a Superpower

If its possible, before I give a talk I try to go and sit in a bathroom.

Hopefully I’m alone as I start with a few deep breaths and then meditate for a few minutes.
With my mind clear, I open my eyes and say, “I’m excited.”

Because even though I did a short meditation, public speaking, whether it’s 5 people or 500 does create a little bit of anxiety. It’s a very vulnerable state.  We’re opening ourselves up for criticism, ridicule, and possible embarrassment.

Are You Up For The Whole 30 Challenge?

It’s Day 3 of the Whole 30 Challenge/Detox/Torture Program.  Holy cow, I imagine I feel as bad as someone giving up crack.

The headache started last night, the stomach cramps at 2am and by 9am I’m feeling lightheaded, lethargic and hungover.  All I’m able to do is lie around and ponder why am I putting myself through this hell?

And why on earth do I feel so bad?
